French rounds run Friday to Sunday with the bulk on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Kick-offs are later than in England, which puts the main Sunday fixture in the early evening across most of Europe.
Form here counts only finished matches, so a club with a game in hand looks worse than it is. Home and away records matter more than they look in a league this early: two home wins from two says less about a club than the same two results in November will.
